JOE WALTERS, M.S.P.T. (CO-OWNER)Joe grew up in Kentucky and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He has been a private practitioner since 1994 and practicing orthopedic physical therapy since 1990. Joe enjoys golf, classic cars, and spending quality time with his wife Leah and two children.
Leah Walters, B.S.P.T. (Co-owner)Leah is a native of Kalamazoo. She graduated from Portage Northern High School in 1984. She attended Indiana University and graduated from the University of Illinois' physical therapy program in Chicago. Leah has been a physical therapist since 1989. She has extensive experience in neurologic rehabilitation and enjoys orthopedic treatment of all kinds. Her interests include tennis, cooking, philanthropy, and spending quality time with her family.
Mary-Teresa Fletter, M.S.P.T.Mary-Teresa (M.T.) is the clinic director at our Vicksburg clinic location. She was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She relocated to Kalamazoo after earning her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Washington University in December 1998. Her clinical areas of interest include sports and orthopedic related injuries, and she enjoys clinical teaching. MT is married with two young daughters. She enjoys playing soccer, being outdoors, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Neal McCrum, M.S.P.T.Neal graduated with his Bachelor of Science from Grand Valley State University and his Master of Physical Therapy from East Carolina University. He has been practicing in outpatient orthopedics since 2004. His clinical interests include sports medicine, orthopedics, sports-specific performance training and manual therapy. Neal currently resides in Schoolcraft where he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, outdoor sports, golfing and home brewing.
Jordan Henning, P.T., D.P.T.Jordan is a native to the Kalamazoo area. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Biology at Kalamazoo College, where he also ran cross country. He then earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Grand Valley State University. His clinical interests include orthopedic and sports rehab, as well as injury prevention. In his free time, Jordan enjoys running, working out, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.
Shannon Kaplan, P.T., D.P.T., A.T.C.Shannon grew up in Northern Virginia and lived in North Carolina for several years prior to relocating to Kalamazoo. She graduated with her B.S. in Athletic Training from West Chester University and became a licensed Athletic Trainer in 2012. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Elon University in 2016. She is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling and her clinical interests include orthopedics and sports rehab for both return-to-sport and injury prevention. Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling and being outdoors.
Dr. Kate Maurer, P.T., D.P.T.Kate was born and raised in Frankenmuth, Michigan. She attended Saginaw Valley State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then attended Central Michigan University and graduated in 2013 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Kate is certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation through the American Institute of Balance. Her clinical interests include neurologic and orthopedic rehab. Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and family, as well as biking, spending time outdoors, and playing games of any kind.
Amy Marley-Kennedy M.P.T., T.D.P.T., CLT-LANAAmy is now the clinic director of our Kalamazoo (Stadium Dr.) clinic. She has been a practicing therapist since graduating from Chatham University in 2002. Amy enjoys treating a wide variety of diagnoses and is dedicated to using the most effective and appropriate treatments to facilitate a full recovery. Amy is an accomplished manual therapist and has an in-depth understanding of the physical needs of patients undergoing cancer-related surgeries, reconstruction surgeries, lymphedema and those receiving radiation therapy. Additionally, Amy is trained in the Barcelona Schroth method for treating patients diagnosed with scoliosis. Her goal is to educate and empower her patients to manage their symptoms and alleviate pain to allow them to fill their role in society. Amy's background in figure skating and coaching allows for her appreciation for both the performing arts and sports. In her spare time Amy enjoys photography and travel with her family .
Carrie O'Donnell, P.T.Carrie graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2002 and began working in outpatient orthopedics in Chicago. She recently moved to Portage with her husband and three children. Carrie enjoys playing beach volleyball, running, and exploring the outdoors of Michigan with her family.
Dr. Brenton Rozycki, D.P.T., C.O.M.T.Brenton was born and raised in Boyne City, Michigan. He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology then went on to University of Michigan-Flint to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011. His interests include orthopedic and sports rehab for both return-to-sport and injury prevention. Brenton and his wife enjoy the outdoors and visiting craft breweries and are proud parents of a boy and a girl along with 2 crazy boxers.
Michelle Van Oss, D.P.T.Michelle grew up in Zeeland, Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology then received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009 from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Michelle gained a wide range of clinical experience working as a traveling therapist before returning to Michigan. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, camping, hiking, and horseback riding. She also enjoys cheering on the Spartans.

Lindsay enjoys playing and watching sports, attending outdoor concerts, and spending time with her husband, family and friends!
Casie Parker, P.T.A.Casie Parker was born and raised in Vicksburg, Michigan. She is a graduate of Kellogg Community College and is a licensed P.T.A. Casie loves spending time with her family, being outdoors, traveling and being adventurous.
Shad Spears, A.T.C./P.T.A.Shad grew up in South Dakota and is a transplant to Michigan. He is a graduate of Arapahoe Community College where he received his P.T.A. degree. His clinical interests include orthopedic and sports injuries. Shad enjoys the outdoors, sports, and family time with wife, son and two daughters.
Beth Stratton, P.T.A.Beth Stratton was born and raised in the Flint area. She is a graduate of Mott Community College where she earned her P.T.A. degree. Beth's clinical interests are sports injuries, orthopedic, and concussion care. She enjoys watching sporting events, traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband, Nick, and dog, Scooby.
Peregrine Joe McAllister(Burke), P.T.A.Joe Burke was born and raised in Portage, MI. Graduated from Portage Northern in 2012 and KCC in 2020 as a licensed P.T.A. Burke was a competitive Powerlifter and coach for 6 years and enjoys applying experience as a competitive lifter to the clinical setting of orthopedic and sports injuries. In his free time Burke enjoys weightlifting, karate, working on cars, painting, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
Jody DuffJody is a Michigan native who graduated from Delton Kellogg High. She has over 30 years of customer service experience including eight years in healthcare. Jody enjoys spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter and spending time at the lake.
Bobbie Klawender- Front Office ManagerBobbie comes from the east side of Michigan. She graduated from Oakland Community College with an extended associates degree in applied science and later graduating from a two year Dental Hygiene program earning her state license . In addition, Bobbie has held positions such as treatment coordinator, consultant and manager for a high volume cosmetic dental practice in Metro Detroit. Her family was transferred to West Michigan in 2009 where she has spent the past 10 years raising her four children. She enjoys playing tennis, kayaking and spending quality time with her family.
Jennifer comes to us with over fifteen years of customer service experience with a background in the financial industry along with experience volunteering in the Portage Public Schools and local soccer organizations. Her enthusiasm for helping her community shows in the number of organizations she had volunteered with over the years.
Although Jennifer grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan she has called Portage her home for the past 25 years. She met her husband Mark, (also a Yooper) at Western Michigan University where they both graduated and loved the area enough to start their family here. Mark and Jennifer have two daughters and recently added a covid puppy named Cooper to their household.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys kayaking, sewing, baking and crafting, gotta love Pinterest! She enjoys working at PT1 because of all of the friendships she has with her co-workers and patients. Seeing returning patients and knowing that they trust and believe in our great work to return is a reward she loves to see.
Paige is originally from Kalamazoo, MI and attended Portage Central High School. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, she spent time traveling and working as an au pair in Dublin, Ireland for the last year. She is pursuing a career in nursing and midwifery and in her free time enjoys spending time with friends, playing tennis, hiking, and exploring new places any chance she gets!
Brian is a Kalamazoo native and a graduate of Kalamazoo College. He spent the last five years living in Chicago, working in the cultural exchange industry. He loves traveling (and eating all he can on his travels), hiking, biking, and playing tennis. He also started baking as a new quarantine hobby--you might find him feeding his sourdough starter during his lunch break.
